LEFTY MIKUNI

"Lefty's Leather Craft" is a Western leathercraft company located in Masuda, Shimane prefecture, in Japan.
The owner is Lefty Mikuni, who has had a long career as a crafter.
At the age of 19 he first saw a hand-made Western belt hand-crafted of leather and this changed his life,
from this time on he has had a passion for Western leather work.
Lefty worked diligently and taught himself the Sheridan Style of leather carving,
actually quickly becoming one of the finest artists of this craft.
Today very few crafters in Japan know this traditional technique of Sheridan, Wyoming,
but all agree Lefty is the best. You might say he is actually the pioneer for this craft in Japan.
